Project planning area "Sary-Tau", located in Engels district of the Saratov region, near the village of Shumeyka. It was carried out within the framework of development of the territory near the archaeological sites – medieval settlements and burial ground. In the lot, with a total area of 44 ha, which was set for the creation of the archaeological museum and tourist complex, were planned - museum and tourist center, recreation and exhibition center, cafe, administrative center of the tourist complex and the Archaeological Museum of "Sary-Tau", covered pavilions of archeological monuments, hotel complex, shopping center, parking areas, boating station with a service center, horse-breeding farm, golf-club, child's and sporting grounds.
The main territory was occupied with construction of town houses and free-standing residential buildings. The main problem of modern building development for residential settlements, and exclusively with homestead type, both mixed type (detached houses and row houses), today is the almost complete absence of public spaces in the village. It is caused by the high cost of land and demarcation of territory for building plots is given the priority to obtain maximum benefit from the sale of land.
We, on the contrary, tried to provide the maximum possible number of public spaces in the project planning area "Sary-Tau", mainly located in the areas terraced house, but not deprived of access of all interested villagers. This approach is due, primarily, creating a comfortable and quality living environment that will attract customers much faster than the cheaper, but devoid of any comfort, living environment.
